Simple Green Beans Stew

INGREDIENTS:

Approximately 1.2 kg of beans

2 small cans of peeled tomatoes

1 onion

2 garlic cloves

A piece of ginger (the size of 3 coins of 5 kuna)

Teaspoon of cumin

Oil, salt and pepper

 

 

 

 

PREPARATION:

Chop the onion and garlic and simmer in oil until gets golden color. Add ginger, grated or chopped into small cubes.
After a minute, add green beans to which you have previously removed edges. Feel free to cut them into pieces 2-3 cm long. Continue to cook beans, stirring at least 5 minutes, until they get slightly soft. Pour over two cans of peeled tomatoes and a glass of water. Once they start boiling, reduce the heat to minimum, cover them and leave another 20 minutes to cook until the beans soften. At the end add salt and pepper.
Serve with tasty wholegrain bread and hot sauce.
